• What is Microchanneling?

Microchanneling is an advanced skin-renewal technique that creates thousands of ultra-fine, controlled micro-channels in the outermost layer of the skin only. Unlike traditional microneedling, these micro-channels are shallow enough to stimulate cell signalling and collagen production without penetrating into living tissue or triggering an inflammatory wound-healing response. This precise approach allows the skin to regenerate through renewal rather than repair, while dramatically enhancing the absorption and effectiveness of the accompanying professional treatment serum.

  • Skin benefits:

    • Stimulates the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin without causing bleeding
    • Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
    • Softens acne scarring and refines uneven texture
    • Improves hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
    • Enhances overall skin density, firmness and resilience
    • Supports visible improvement in rosacea
    • Encourages healthier, more consistent collagen formation (long-term this is key)
    • When booking a course of treatments 4 week intervals are recommended
  • How does it feel?

Procell Microchanneling is performed using a linear stamping method, creating uniform, evenly spaced micro-channels across the skin. This technique is significantly more comfortable than rolling or gliding methods used in microneedling, which can cause uneven channels, irritation and unnecessary trauma.

Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure, with skin often appearing calm, hydrated and even-toned immediately after treatment.

The result is visible skin improvement without trauma, downtime or barrier disruption.

The ultimate LED upgrade

Applying Celluma LED therapy immediately after microchanneling takes advantage of a peak window of cellular responsiveness. At this stage, targeted wavelengths enhance photobiomodulation within the skin, increasing cellular energy (ATP) and amplifying the signals responsible for collagen production, skin renewal and overall treatment efficacy. The result is a more powerful, optimised outcome from your microchanneling treatment

Procell Microchanneling Versus Standard Microneedling

Feature Procell Microchanneling Microneedling
Technology used Uses ultra-fine filaments or stamping technology, not traditional needles Uses sharp needles that puncture the skin at variable depths
Depth & control Channels are extremely shallow and uniform, with precise depth control Depth is often deeper and less controlled, especially with pressure variation
Skin interaction Does not puncture or tear the skin, instead creating micro-pathways Creates true micro-wounds, intentionally triggering a wound-healing cascade

The Power of the Procell DNA Repair Serum

With cutting-edge biotechnology, ProCell’s MD Repair Serum delivers gold-standard, highly targeted bio-identical recombinant growth factors, cytokines and peptides (the same cellular messengers your skin naturally recognises and responds to), directly to where they're needed via the microscopic channels created. These signals bind to receptors on skin cells and activate the body’s own natural repair and regeneration pathways, supporting reduced inflammation, lines, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation, increased elastin and hyaluronic acid production, and a stronger more resilient skin barrier.

Downtime & Aftercare

Downtime is minimal. You may experience mild redness similar to a gentle flush, typically resolving quickly.

*Do not apply any skincare products to the treatment area for atleast 90 minutes. The Procell growth factor MD serum has been specifically designed for the microchanneling procedure, but other skincare products have not.

*Avoid touching the face for the first 2-3hrs.

*Avoid sun exposure for 24hrs post treatment.

*Avoid harsh actives or acids for 48 hrs post treatment.

*Hyperpigmentation: Some clients can experience a mild darkening of hyperpigmentation immediately after treatment, however, due to the shallow depth/mechanism of microchanneling and the growth factor serum used during treatment, this will be temporary, and hyperpigmentation will reduce post 28 days.

*Avoid alcohol for 24hrs post treatment.

Who shouldn't do micro-channeling

Micro-channeling is not suitable if you:
